INTERIOR DESIGN

project: interior design

location: Tallinn

year: 2017

size: 140 m²

supervisor: Tiiu Truus

author: Linn Nagel

focus: interior design, visualization

The assignment of this project was to change perspective – from exterior to interior architecture. Each of us had to take the private house that we had designed 2 years earlier (view from here) and develop it’s interior design. It was a great way to learn, because when starting to focus on interior architecture, one thinks more thoroughly of the interior spaces and how they work. Then, it’s easy to discover flaws in the previous architectural plans, and as you have been the architect of the initial design, you can really learn a lot.

While designing this project, I extensively used VR (virtual reality) to check the parameters of the spaces and how they feel. I find VR to be an amazing tool for architecture.
